The Christensen Lab for Wildlife Population Health
Dr. Sonja Christensen, Principal Investigator
Welcome to Sonja Christensen's Lab for Wildlife Population Health!
Our lab's research focuses on understanding why diseases occur in a given place and time, how those diseases affect wildlife populations, and what disease surveillance and management strategies are most effective.
Much of our work has further focused on cervid populations like deer, moose, and elk. These species have a tremendous impact on the trophic levels above and below them, and are of cultural and economic importance to millions of people.
