Are you ready to launch your career saving wildlife? Come work alongside vets and scientists to help save some of the world’s most incredible but threatened wildlife.
Join us for an instructor-led course in the South African savanna, where wildlife struggles to survive in a rapidly changing world, conservationists race to stay one step ahead of poachers, and local communities adapt and innovate to support both people and wildlife. Meet and learn from various heroes in conservation, get hands-on experience with wildlife, and see traditional and cutting-edge strategies to study and protect South Africa’s wildlife.
Activities include:
- Capture and handle wild rhinos (collar/dehorn)
- Set up camera traps
- Band wild birds and collect scientific data
- Bushwalks and wildlife viewing
- Daytime and nighttime game drives
- Animal and plant identification
- Multi-day camping trip through Kruger National Park
- Explore local school and community
- Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre and Kinyonga Reptile Centre
- Diverse guest lectures from local experts
- Meet rangers, wildlife vets, scientists, and rhino poaching investigator
- Crash course in poaching forensics
- See anti-poaching dogs in action
- Visit nearby canyons, waterfalls, and scenic overlooks
