An introduction to organismal and environmental science, including science literacy and understanding the distribution and function of life on earth. Historical and recent development of ideas about behavior, ecological, and evolutionary processes. Critical evaluation of the use and misuse of human understanding of nature, emphasizing recent findings. FW 364 - Ecological Problem Solving Application of ecological concepts and models to problems in natural resource and ecosystem management. This class focuses on the quantitative foundations of applied population ecology and how to use software to answer ecological questions. FW 490 - Independent Study in Fisheries and Wildlife Supervise individual research and study in fisheries and wildlife for undergraduate students. FW 885 - Leadership in Natural Resources and Environmental Management Theory and practice of leadership in natural resource and environmental management. Integration across disciplinary and jurisdictional divisions. Previously Co-taught with Dr. Bill Porter. |
